Beef Chop Suey

Ingredients

  • Canola oil
  • 250 mL (1 cup) The Original® 25% less salt broth
  • 450 g (1 lb) sliced fondue beef
  • 750 mL (3 cups) frozen Asian vegetable mix
  • 8 mini-bok choys, cut in half
  • 500 mL (2 cups) sprouted beans
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) sodium-reduced soy sauce
  • 10 mL (2 tsp) cornstarch

Optional:

  • 2 green onions, chopped

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch and fondue broth.
  2. In a skillet, heat a little canola oil over medium heat. Sauté beef slices 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, cook frozen vegetable mixture and mini-bok choys 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Return cooked beef to pan and stir in soy sauce mixture. Bring to a boil, then continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in bean sprouts.
  6. If desired, sprinkle with green onions just before serving.
