Portions 2

Preparation 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken or turkey cutlets about 2 mm thick (most supermarkets sell breasts as cutlets, if not, ask your butcher).
  • Salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 2 c. (30ml) Canton Bacon & Maple fondue & raclette sauce
  • ½ cup bread crumbs (plain bread, cereal or panko)
  • 4 slices of country bread
  • 1-2 field tomatoes
  • 4 cooked bacon slices
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • About 30 ml olive oil, depending on the size of your pan

Directions

  1. Place the flour in a deep plate. In another deep plate, pour the Canton maple bacon sauce. In a third plate, place the breadcrumbs of your choice.
  2. Coat the cutlets in the flour. Shake to remove the excess. Brush the chicken cutlets with Canton Bacon & Maple sauce. Coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. In a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, heat the butter and oil. Brown two cutlets at a time. Sponge the cutlets on a paper towel.
  4. Toast your slices of bread.
  5. Prepare your garnishes: bacon, Canton  Bacon & Maple sauce, mayonnaise, tomato slices, lettuce leaves.
  6. Proceed with the assembly of your BLT Chicken:
  • Butter the inside of your slices of bread with mayonnaise or fondue and raclette Canton Bacon & Maple sauce (or a mixture of both).
  • Place the breaded cutlets, bacon, tomato slices, lettuce leaves and cover with the other slice of bread.
