Quick & Classic Onion Soup
Ingredients
One package of Canton Ready-to-serve Onion Soup
Garnish:
- 1 cup (250 mL) your choice of Gruyère or Cheddar cheese, grated
- 6 slices of baguette bread, 1/3 in (1 cm) thickness or so, toasted
Directions
- Place rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat oven to Broil.
- Pour the Canton Soup container into a bowl or saucepan and heat in the microwave or on the stovetop until hot, stirring a few times.
- Divide the hot soup among ovenproof bowls and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Top each bowl with 2 tbsp (30 mL) of cheese, add 3 croutons over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Place in the oven and grill until the cheese is melted and golden. Serve and enjoy!
