Sausage Bruschetta
Ingredients
8 Italian tomatoes, diced small
1 small red onion, chopped
½ cup (125 mL) chopped fresh basil
Salt and fresh ground pepper
4 mild Italian sausages
1 long baguette, sliced
¼ cup (65 mL) Canton® 3 Pepper Sauce
1 cup (250 mL) Parmesan shavings
Directions
- Preheat barbecue to 400˚F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine tomatoes, red onion, basil, salt and pepper, then set aside.
- Place sausages on barbecue and grill for 20 minutes, turning regularly to cook on all sides. Once cooked, remove and dice.
- Brush baguette slices with 3 Pepper Sauce and grill 1 minute per side.
- Top with tomato mixture, add sausage and sprinkle with Parmesan.
